What started as a hashtag search on Twitter in the wake of the heinous Guwahati incident in July 2012 has now become an online movement to provide people across India a platform to marshal their resources and stand up for women who have been wronged.
The core team members of this group are Sakshi Kumar, Ankita Garg, Zena Costa and Dr. Anita Sangwan. Please visit our The Team page to know more about them.
While the initiative was started by women - it is now an all encompassing movement that even includes men who volunteer their time and energies for our cause. JFW has conducted free self defense workshops for women across the country. We plan on starting other initiatives that can offer immediate workable results.
If you believe in the cause and would like to volunteer, think of this page as About You. Regardless of your gender, you can join us and take the crusade for justice to a different level. We're always looking for volunteers across the country. For more details, check the Contact Us page.
It’s not only about outrage, it’s about action.
